how to participate
-
Walk out of your respective classrooms, offices, libraries, labs, and posts to your central campus quad to gather with fellow grad students
-
Organize a phone bank to call your senators together (see information section “how to” guide on calling your representatives)
-
Bring signs protesting this tax reform bill -- from regular picket signs "save graduate education / we are the graduate students of America" to the "my tuition waiver lets me" signs (see photo campaign for pdfs)
-
Share your photos/videos on Twitter (@gradtaxwalkout) and Facebook (#GradTaxWalkout #SaveGradED) and other social media outlets – the point is to make NOISE
-
Organize a “grade-in” and bring the tests/papers you have to grade with you to showcase the work graduate students do (and to get stuff done!)
-
Organize a rally – with megaphones, speakers, and activities – particularly if you are may be uncertain of local laws. When in doubt, rally it out!
-
